The PCCN review course will promote a thorough review of the material that will be presented on the exam. This two-day course will cover clinical judgment and professional caring and ethical practice.
Certification in progressive care assures that the professional nurse possesses qualifications, education, skills, and experience in his or her practice. The PCCN certification is awarded through AACN, American Association of Critical Care Nurses, once the RN passes a certification exam. The PCCN review course will promote a thorough review of the material that will be presented on the exam. This review course is a two-day long course that will cover clinical judgment and professional caring and ethical practice. Topics will include an in-depth overview of cardiovascular, pulmonary, endocrine, hematology, immunology, neurology, gastrointestinal, renal, and multi-systems topics in order to prepare the RN for the 125- question exam. The professional caring and ethical practice will include topics such as advocacy, moral, caring practices, collaboration, systems thinking, response to diversity and clinical inquiry.
Dates: June 8 and June 14, 2010 from 7:45am – 16:30pm both days.
Where: Paoli Hospital, Potter Room

Continental breakfast and lunch will be served
Registration Fee: $50.00
Please make checks payable to CCEDF.
MLHS RNs must be registered to take the exam prior to the course and bring proof to the course on 6/8/10.
