Intravenous (IV) Catheter Insertion Course –  Monday, June 21, 2010 

Peggy Lyons, MSN, CRNI will be teaching an IV workshop for the new and experienced RN. Practice inserting IV catheters, review vein selection, location, and identification, selection of supplies and potential complications of IV therapy.  Legal aspects and proper documentation will also be included.

Evidence Based Guidelines for Wound Prevention & Treatment – June 8, 2010

Content includes skin risk assessments and prevention, interventions, wound healing expectations & treatment strategies and utilization.

 Physical Assessment Workshop – June 8, 2010

 This workshop will provide a review of basic “head to toe” physical assessment skills, identify normal and abnormal lung, bowel and cardiac sounds, document physical assessment findings accurately and identify potential patient complications based on a variety of assessment findings.

Leadership for Nurses: Achieving Patient Excellence – a 3 part series

Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Review Course Description - June 8, 2010 & June 14, 2010

Time: 7:45am - 4:30pm both days

Location: Paoli Hospital, Potter Room

Cost: $50, please make checks payable to CCEDF.

The PCCN review course will promote a thorough review of the material that will be presented on the exam.  This two day course will cover clinical judgment and professional caring and ethical practice.
